Questions
What does it do?
It runs a super-resolution network (ESRGAN) in your browser to add real detail when enlarging, instead of the blur a normal resize gives. Logos, lettering and flat artwork come out best.
Why the size limits?
Files are shrunk to 1024 px on the long edge before upscaling and results stop at 4096 px. Anything bigger is already large enough for a patch, and a phone would run out of memory.
Is it good enough for embroidery?
It helps our digitizers read small files. For complex logos a vector file is still best, and our vector service can rebuild one for you.
Fast or Best?
Fast finishes in seconds. Best uses a larger model and takes about a minute on a laptop, longer on a phone; try it when Fast leaves edges soft.
Does it keep transparency?
Yes. PNGs with a transparent background stay transparent.
